Hello everyone,
I would like to bring the attention of everyone to both the program and our discover - engage - transform approach.
There is still some work to do on the program:
1. we have to decide the activities in the evenings;
2. we have to clarify the group work and how to spread it around the program;
3. please each organisation should check their modules;
4. we have to clarify the activities for day 5.
Moreover, I would like to stress that we want to use a discover - engage - transform learning approach. This means that all our activities should be designed around it. (for those who do not remember this, I copy what we wrote in the application at the end of this email).
Finally, I would like to link with the last Milja email. On the afternoon of Day 2, we have an activity where ALL the groups have to participate, bringing their perspective on analysing the roots of the ecological and social-economic crises.
I suggest that the next meeting is dedicated to discuss the program and at least one delegate from each organisation should participate.
What do you think?
Cheers
Federico

All the activities of the seminar are built around the keywords of discover, engage, transform and activities have aspects of all of them in it. However, the discovery activities are more focused on discovery, giving information to the participants with frontal classes and workshops. The engage activities are more focused on engaging, exploring with daily trips to local grassroots experiences. The transform activities is more focused on transforming, creating new projects utilizing the new notion and skills acquired in the previous activities. These new projects will be developed in groups (3-6 participants each) and the topics are chosen freely by the participants. The projects can be but are not limited to: translation of material used during the seminar, preparation of original documents from the contents given during the seminar, elaboration of photos or audio-videos taken during the seminar, planning new campaign, practical intervention on the site of the seminar. At the end of the seminar, time will be dedicated to evaluation and visioning, the project prepared during the third phase will be presented, the whole seminar will be evaluated and discussion on how to follow up the seminar will take place. Each of the goals will be the underlying theme of DEEP-T and they will be explored in different learning settings, from classes, workshops, "learning by doing", working groups, visits, etc. Discovery: seminar and workshops (for a list please check the timetable). Speakers and moderators will be selected during the preparation phase (and Activity 1). Priority will be given to the group of the consortium in order to valorize the experience and minimise costs. Engage: time will be dedicated to explore the Damatrà and discover the surrounding. Places to visits will be discussed and selected in the preparation phase (and with Activity 1). Transform: working group to create new projects utilizing the new notion and skills acquired. These new projects will be developed in groups (3-6 participants each) and the topic is chosen freely by the participants. The projects can be but are not limited to: translation of material used during the seminar, preparation of original documents from the contents given during the seminar, elaboration of photos and audio- videos taken during the seminar, planning new campaign, practical intervention on the site of the project. These activities will focus also on the dissemination products of the DEEP - T project (partners organization websites, videos, DEEP-T handbook, etc.). Evaluation and Envisioning: discussion. A day will be dedicated to the evaluation of the seminar and envisioning new projects. The dissemination of DEEP -T and the development of the consortium will also be discussed. Role of each project partner: we try to design our seminar in a participatory and transparent way to give every group and individual the possibility to get involved in every part of the realisation of the seminar. For this reason, all the partners of the project will have time to present their experiences.
